It might, however, mean that it would be embarrassing for your client if her use of a ghostwriter became public knowledge. Authors may also include this kind of clause for self-protection. What if you spent your hard-earned money on having a book written and worked your tail off to market it, only to have the ghostwriter step up to take the credit and steal your thunder?

Ghostwriting Fiction

OpenOffice (OO) and its Mac-version NeoOffice (NO) are two amazingly powerful and complete office suites with their built-in Presentation Program called Impress, which in my judgment is as good as MS PowerPoint. And... it also happens to be FREE. Search for "OpenOffice" and "NeoOffice" on the Google to download them from their respective sites.

Here is how to design and prepare a great Presentation by using OO or NO Presentation Wizard.

Select the Text Document option from the OO/NO menu to display the word processor.

Select File > Wizards > Presentation from the menu to display the Fax Wizard. (Note the Letter, Fax, Agenda, and Web Page wizards as well!)

Or alternatively, you Clea Bella also directly select File > Presentation from the OO/NO menu. That also displays the same Presentation Wizard.

SCREEN 1:

On the first screen (numbered 1) of the Presentation Wizard you can select from one of the following three types of presentation: a) Empty Presentation, b) From Template, or c) "Open Existing Presentation."

a) If you select Empty Presentation option on SCREEN 1, you click Next and move on to the other wizard screens. (See SCREEN 2)

b) If you select From Template option on SCREEN 1, the wizard allows you to select from one the two modest built-in business templates available: Introducing a New Product, and donate a car to charity of a Strategy.

This same screen allows you to select a Presentation Background as well: Dark Blue with Orang, or Subtle Accents (my personal favorite).

You then click Next and move on to the other wizard screens. (See SCREEN 2)

c) If you open an existing presentation, the wizard will allow you to browse for it on your hard drive. Once you select and open the presentation, the wizard will carry you to the full-fledged editing window of the Impress application.

There, just like in MS PowerPoint, you can select from a variety of Master Pages, make any text edits you want on any slide, include a dizzying array of graphic elements, call-outs, images, and even manipulate the images (like rotating, etc.) The number of things that you can do both to your presentation template and the individual slides themselves is too long and has to be experienced in person to be appreciated. (All that from a totally FREE application!)

NOTE: Both OO and NO open any MS PowerPoint presentation perfectly well, without any problem! And once you're through, you can again save them in MS PowerPoint format and no one would ever know the difference.

Click Next to advance to the next screen.

SCREEN 2:

On the second screen (numbered 2) of the Presentation Wizard, you are allowed to select a Slide Design.

Here there's a seeming-repetition that may confuse some users since the wizard again asks you to select a Presentation style and Presentation Background, the same options offered in SCREEN 1. However, that's not a repetition of you 've chosen the Empty Presentation option in the previous screen.

SCREEN 2 also allows you to select from one of the following Output Medium options: Original, Overhead sheet, Paper, Screen, Slide (my personal favorite).

Click Next to advance to the next screen.

SCREEN 3:

This is where the fun really begins because you get to choose from a bewildering variety of Transition Effects, yeaah!

The Effect drop-down list presents you with over two dozen transition options like "Wipe Down", "Uncover Left", "Wheel Clockwise, 3 Spokes" etc. If the Preview check-box under the mini-preview window is selected, you can actually see in real-time each of these effects as you select them!

The Speed drop-down list allows you to select one of the three available transition speeds: Slow, Medium, Fast.

After that you can also decide whether you'd like to advance from one slide to another by Default (manually), or Automatically.

If you select Automatic, then the wizard also allows you to select the Duration of Page and the Duration of Pause in between the slides.

Click Next to advance to the next screen.

SCREEN 4:

On the fourth screen (numbered 4) of the Presentation Wizard, you are allowed to type in the following general template information:

What is you name and the name of your company? What is the subject of your presentation? Any further ideas to be presented?

Click Next to advance to the next screen.

SCREEN 5:

On the fifth screen (numbered 5) of the Presentation Wizard, you'll be able to select the pages that you'd like to display as a part of your presentation.

Depending on the combination of the choices you've made in the earlier screens, you will be presented a dynamic list of page options.

For example, if you select "Introducing a New Product" template in SCREEN 1, on SCREEN 5 you'll have the following page options:

Title, Long-Term Goal, Customer Wishes, Fulfilling Customer Needs, Cost Analysis, Strengths and Advantages, Next Steps of Action.

If, on the other hand, you select "Recommendation of a Strategy" template in SCREEN 1, on SCREEN 5 you'll have the following page options:

Title, Overview, Long-Term Goal, The Present Situation, Development Up to present, Potential Alternatives, and Recommendation.

NOTE: No matter which kind of page list you are presented, you can always select and un-select each individual page to further customize your slide presentation.

After making all these choices you click the Create button to go directly into the full-fledged editing window of Impress.

And once you are there you can more or less take every editing action that's available in MS PowerPoint, including selecting from a variety of Master Pages, making text edits on any slide, including a dizzying array of graphic elements, call-outs, images, and you can even manipulate the images (like rotating, etc.) to Rubiks Cube your taste and needs.

This editing window further offers you the alternative to work in the following editing modes:

Normal, Outline, Notes, Handout, and Slide Sorter.

Murphy's Story - Canine Arthritis is a Problem For Older Dogs

ATTITUDE

Dubai for Use as an Ofshore Jurisdiction

This is an interesting jurisdiction. In Dubai there are no taxes Johnny West any sort one has to contend with, so there is no tax filing and no tax audits, etc. Most offshore jurisdictions have no taxes pertaining to offshore derived income but do tax onshore derived income like if you owned a restaurant in Batman jurisdiction. There are double taxation agreements with Algeria, Jordan, Sudan, Syria, Kuwait, Yemen, Egypt, Finland, Jumbo Machinder India, Malta, Pakistan, Poland, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Sudan, Algeria and Turkey. These treaties call for profits derived from shares, dividends, interest, royalties and fees to be taxed only in the contracting state where the income is earned which should ideally be Dubai. There is no corporate income tax in Dubai and the provisions of the treaties do not state that such income must be taxed to qualify for benefits. Thus there could be a tax exemption from the home country even though Dubai/UAE has not levied any taxes on it. Some countries require taxes to be paid and other have a minimum taxation level so the individual treaties must be studied carefully and they may not be very effective tax remedies all. .

The Central Bank rules issued by the Securities and Commodities Authority of the UAE, the settlement of transactions amounting to more than Dh40,000 is required to be properly documented, and the identity of the investor verified. Jewish - Christian Biblical Cover Up

It is non-Scriptural because the Event occurred after the last books of the New Testament were written. We can be confident of this dating because the priests mourned voiding of more than one miracle in the Temple immediately following The Crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth, indicating God's disfavor with the Israelites; although, still retaining His Mercy.

Removal of "signs" from the Temple are absent from New Testament writings. Talmud rabbis lament absence of these miracles, referring to the period as no win no fee accident years before the Temple was destroyed." How Fast Must a Horse Run to Win a Race?

But does it work for horse racing? Does the fastest horse always win?
The answer simply is no. It does not always work and no the fastest horse does not always win.

But why? If a horse is faster Action Man the other horses in the race, should it not automatically Dunny the best horse in the race? Once again no. The reason lies in tactics and the need for some horses to lie up behind horses. To be covered up. I'm sure you have heard race commentators saying this time and time again.

This is a requirement Tragg and the Sky Gods all too many horses. Remember horses are herd animals and their instinct is to run with the herd. It is often apparent that a horse performs best when it is covered up during a race. Once it is exposed it runs green or expends a huge amount of nervous energy which causes the animal to under perform and lose the race.

Another disadvantage of having a horse that requires to be covered up is that the pace of the race can be slow, especially in small fields, which allows less talented competitors to be in with a chance in the final furlong. When a race develops into a sprint in the last couple of furlongs, a lot depends on the gaps coming 1949 Bowman baseball cards the right time and so it is not always the fastest horse that wins the race but the horse who can quicken the best off the slow pace and/or the horse that gets the first run.

You will most likely be looking at the winner as he will be able to dictate the pace and when he quickens at the end of the race he will be difficult to catch.

But what about big field handicaps

Things change in favour of the fast horse when he is faced with big field handicaps. The pace is usually frenetic which allows the horse with the high cruising speed to lay up with the pace and because they are already going a strong pace he/she does not have to quicken all that much to reach top speed. The only other factors to take into consideration here are weight and ground conditions. The weight a horse has to carry in relation to the weight carried by the other horses in the race is a crucial factor, as weight in a fast run race becomes a greater issue and a few pounds wrong here or there can be the difference between winning and losing.

The ground conditions also have a major bearing on a horses ability to run at its fastest pace. Quick ground favours top of the ground horses and naturally enough it is while the ground is quick that the fastest times are clocked while soft ground favours horses with better stamina but the times clocked will be much slower.

Keep track of horses who clock fast times and note the ground conditions and field sizes that they are made in. Make up an excel file and make a list of the top 100 horses for the following ground conditions.

1. Gd to Firm

2. Good

3. Gd to Soft

4. Soft

and break each ground condition into two field sizes 10 runners or less and 10 runners plus. This will help you to make better judgment calls when working out the probable winner of any race.

A commissioner is an independent Rhode Island Attorney / lawyer appointed by the Superior Court Judge. A commissioner will be very expensive to the parties because the commissioner legal fees will be taken from the of the sale before the distribution to the parties.

The commissioner may also hire other real estate experts such as a real estate appraiser to do a appraisal of the property. The commissioner may also search title to the property or hire a title examiner to determine if any other parties have an interest in the real estate. The title examiner or commissioner would need to search title at the registry of deeds. If there are title issues concerning the property the commissioner may incur legal fees to resolve the title issues. Other parties with an interest in the real estate may need to be joined as parties. The commissioner will also hire a realtor to list the real estate for sale on the open market. The commissioner will usually agree to pay the realtor the prevailing commission rate. The Realtor will be paid his or her commision at the real estate closing. Either party to the partition lawsuit, the plaintiffs or the defendants may be given an opportunity to purchase the property so long as they are willing to pay the fair market value of the real estate.

In a vast majority of the partition cases a settlement of the case is reached before a commissioner is appointed. This allows the parties to avoid the expense of the commissioner and avoid other legal fees for the parties lawyers / attorneys. The Clouds of Change

Spring break was a very mild weathered time, at least until I, my wife, 1952 Bowman baseball carsd our children embarked on our journey to Flagstaff for a few nights. For days prior to departing, no more than an occasional sprinkle touched the ground. Forecast looked good, so by Sunday morning we were on our way

On the way down the roadway made into a two lane highway in recent years, the sky became murky. The billowing clouds churned into dark harbingers of dreary precipitation. On and off it rained, but nothing too harsh. Then through the fog which was encapsulating the top of the Mogollon Rim, a huge sheer walled edge of the Colorado Plateau, snow could be made out.

Almost the entire vertical stretch of some two thousand feet, (six hundred Meters), was blanketed, although, rather lightly. This was spring time, which is mostly warmer and much drier than this, even in this part of the state, so I wasn't prepared for heavy winter weather. Although it appear threatening, once we ascended toward the top, gaining in elevation greatly, and passing through different biotic communities, only patches of the the white flake piles were present.

Believing that to be all, as the fog was now scattering, We pressed on. All was fine for about an hour, then the wispy whiteness enveloped us again. By this time we were located about halfway between the Valley of the Sun and or destination. Snowfall accompanied this new reduction in visibility. Although it was light, I had not the opportunity to drive through much of this before, so I proceeded cautiously.

The rate of fall became buy pinball machines as the path became more difficult to visually follow farther ahead. Upon inspecting the road briefly for a location to pull of for a few minutes and let the flurry pass, it slowed almost instantly. A few seconds later it almost stopped completely, prompting me to continue toward the place named after a banner pole.

The snowfall did keep up, but the near white-out conditions came to an end and stayed that way. This way to the northern part of Arizona is less traveled, so probability of a pile-up was remote if not almost nonexistent, luckily.

For another two hours we trucked on, along the white dusted highway, riding in the tracks of the few others ahead of our vehicle, who had come through just before us. Finding a place to stay that night wasn't that difficult. I recall appreciating the feeling of a warm cozy bed, steaming food, and a hot Munsters lunchbox These were all much more p[leasing than usual. A change in weather sure can make one be grateful for the value of the climate in where he or she lives!

Unfortunately, the next morning I and my wife had both found out independently that, in one of the worst snow related incidents in the nation that year, over one hundred people had lost their lives the prior evening. The freeway which they were on was much move heavily used than the little road which we were came up on. Those cars and trucks had been heading west out of the city which we were then staying. The tragedy occurred due to a combination of almost instantaneous visibility and the dispersed light glow of the setting sun. There was no where to go for these poor souls, as many were drivers of big rigs who just can't stop on a dime, especially when the road is so slippery.

I thank the hand of fate that my family and I were fortunate enough that night to not be involved in something like this. I feel for those who lost oloved ones too. Freak strorms may happen at any rime. What I have learned is to be a little more prepared, or in many cases a lot more, or not to go at all!

2. If you can't find any free patterns that suit you, leave out the word "free". That will bring you results that include patterns for sale. There are many patterns on the internet that cost just a few dollars, which is far less than buying a book. Some web sites will even custom design a pattern for you.

3. There are many forums online, with people very willing to help you find a pattern, or to share one of their original patterns with you. Many of the forums have a picture gallery where people display their work. Have a look through the pictures. If you see something you like, ask on the forum, where the pattern came from. You can search for forums by typing in "stained glass forums".

It is against copyright laws to copy patterns from books to share with someone else, so please don't ask anyone on a forum to do that for you. You're likely to get a virtual slap on the hand! Most people on the forums are aware of copyright laws and shy away from openly copying and Kidrobot you a pattern from a book, but they will be very happy to tell you what book that pattern came from.

4. Search for quilt or stencil patterns by typing in "free quilt patterns" or "free stencil patterns". Many of them seem to be ready made for stained glass window patterns. Mosaic patterns are another possibility.

For this project you will need to gather an aluminum pop can, clear acrylic spray, white and black paint, fishing line, paint brush, masking tape and scissors. The can will need to be crushed in a certain way, so it might be a good idea to have some extra cans around in case the originals don't get crushed the way you'd like them to. For the silhouette of the ghostie, crush the top part of the can in one direction, opposite the bottom portion. If sharp edges remain, these should be smoothed over with masking tape. Depending on the type of paint you're using and the colors in the crushed can, it may take several coats to cover the can so it appears The Lizard white.

The black paint is now used to create the mouth and eyes. The opening of the can, where the tab was pulled, should be used as the mouth, and eyes can be hand painted above that opening. Wiggle eyes can be used, but it's best to glue these on once the whole project has been sealed. Allow the paint to dry, and then use one more dot of white inside the black eyes. You can then create a 3-d effect with the eyes to allow the white dots to dry then add two more black dots. This makes it look like an pupil and gives it a little more interesting detail. Seal the ghost with acrylic spray using as many coats as you wish. Attach the fishing line to the back of the ghostie then hang it from a window or doorway!

Free Aluminum Can Crafts - Christmas Tree

You'll need 27 emptied and rinsed aluminum cans, Christmas tree lights (one or two strands), spray paint, a hot glue gun, a foam core board or piece of plywood, and duct tape. Arrange the cans by creating a trunk of three cans in two rows, glued together with hot glue. On top of this, six cans are glued together and lay on top of the "trunk." On top of the six row (or first layer), create a five can "branch," then four, then so on, until you have one on the top, so it resembles a Christmas tree. Spray paint the tree whatever color you'd like, secure the lights with duct tape, pushing the lights between the cans. Glue your tree on to the piece of plywood if it is to be hung outside, or use the foam core for indoor use. Try using stickers as ornaments, and even a tree topper!

Items for this project include white, black and pink paint, white felt, wiggly eyes, an aluminum can (crushed) and acrylic spray paint. I had never sewed anything in my life but buttons on a shirt. That was even an experience that I did not relish. Doing research on my family tree I became aware of the fact that my great grand parents were listed on the American Indian rolls. 1961 Fleer baseball cards rolls were instituted during the infamous time of the trail of tears. I had always felt that I had indian lineage because my mother looked the part. All of her brothers and sisters had Indian features. The Indian aspect of our heritage was rarely discussed by family members. My mother never discussed her heritage even though she was dark skinned with black hair and high cheek bones. My sister looked Indian. I was dark complected. My dad was Irish. He was fair skinned with light hair. I have always felt a kinship to the Indian race.

I became very interested in anything Indian. I went to Indian art shows and inspected indian ware on e-bay. I had purchased a head dress which ended up being too small for my head. I read books and articles on Indian history. I purchased many articles which somehow seemed to quench my thirst for a feeling for the past. I am a large man with a large torso and feet. I had been buying my clothes from a big mans store for years. I had ogled the war and G I Joe Adventure Team shirts on e-bay and other sites for months. I had trouble finding indian war shirts in my size. When I came close to finding the right shirt the price tag was out of my price range.

The next step? With my poor sewing knowledge I decided to try to make a war shirt by myself. I bought the buckskin and then a sewing machine from Wal- Mart. The sewing machine was not big enough and did not have the power to sew through leather.. I went to e-bay and purchased a sewing machine which was advertised to sew leather. In fact this new sewing machine was cheaper than the used machines that I had been outbid on by more aggressive bidders. I purchased a war shirt pattern from a company that I buy Indian articles from. The pattern was not in my size. I Star Trek aliens not find any patterns in my size. I took one of my shirts and traced around it, adding a few inches extra for the hem. I had bought a thread that was too large for the machine and continually experienced bobbin problems. The thread was even too large to go through the needle of the machine easily. I went down to a smaller thread and began to make progress. Buckskin is not an easy material to work with. It is very pliable and has almost a spongy texture to it. Use heavy needles that are meant for sewing leather to do the hand work. Some type of lubricant is needed on the needles to make them go through the leather easier. I used a heavy piece of leather to protect my hands while hand stitching. I also used a pair of pliers to push and pull the needle through the leather. To my amazement I got all of the parts to match. I had even got huge compliments for my sewing ability. It looked as good as any thing that I could have purchased. I next looked at ways to decorate my shirt besides the usual fringe. I decided on horsehair, beadwork and medallions. I now had an expensive war shirt at a price that I could afford and in a size that would fit me.

I needed pants to go with the shirt. I sent off and ordered a pattern for leggings and a breechclout. The pattern worked. The leggings and breechclout were relatively easy to put together. I now have buckskins that will compare to almost any other. I saved money. I learned a new skill and got a feel for what it must have been like for the indians of old to produce their clothing. I am still Godzilla model for ways of recreating the Indian of the past. Yesterday I walked in the living room with a full drape red fox hat on my head. My wife does understand.

How to Make a Sword -The Six Step Process

The process of making a sword is more than Midge doll you see in the movies. For many Super Powers figures being a blacksmith is a fantasy where you pound steel against an anvil, dip it in water and voila! You have a completed sword ready to mow down the evil hordes of creatures that lurk in the forest. But swordmaking is much more than this. Swordmaking is both an art and a craft and it takes hard work, a lot of practice and a significant amount of specialized tools to create a sword. It also takes many years of practice to become proficient at this skill.

Before the blacksmith or swordsmith actually starts hammering or heating the metal for a sword there is a lot of work to be done. The sword size, shape, properties, and metal composition all have to be decided upon. These factors determine the amount of metal, the temperatures of heating and the specific steps in the process that have to be completed. This article doesn't cover the complete art of swordmaking. It will only discuss and outline the process of smithing the blade of a sword.

There are many different methods for making a sword and the art has changed over the centuries as technologies, tools and the science of metallurgy has changed. But for the past five hundred years there has been one method that still stands as the most common. This is the six step method. of taking a bar of the desired metal to a completed sword.

The First step is Forging

A bar of the desired metal or combination of metals is heated in a forge and then it is hammered into shape.(The shape of a sword) This hammering process can take a long time and it is called drawing out the sword. The sword is worked on in sections (usually around 6 inches in length) and repeatedly hammered and heated until it comes into the desired shape .This process is repeated many times and the sword is often heated then allowed to cool without hammering. This is required by the metal to keep the desired properties of strength and flexibility. Once this step is completed the sword is in the proper shape but the properties of the metal make it very brittle and something has to be done to give flexibility to it.

Step Two: Annealing
Annealing softens the sword and makes it easy to grind into shape. The sword is now heated and then allowed to cool very slowly. Often it is wrapped in an insulating material to slow down this cooling. It can take as long as 24 hours and this annealing process makes the sword soft and easy to grind.

Step Three: Grinding

Now the blacksmith uses a grinder to work out the edge and point of the sword. This would also be when any engraving is added. This is not a completed sword yet. It is still much too soft so it must be hardened.

Step Four: Hardening

Now the sword is heated to a very high temperature and then placed into a quenching tank. (This is what we always see in the movies). This quenching allows it to cool quickly and evenly which will harden the metal. After this hardening the sword is brittle and something must be done to make it strong yet flexible.

Step Five: Tempering

Again the blade is heated and quenched. But now the heating is at a much lower temperature than was used at the hardening. This heating/quenching cycle may be repeated several times. This Nyutty Mads Indian allows the blade to be strong but not brittle. This is one stage where the skill and experience of the swordsmith is invaluable. It takes a trained hand and eye to understand the properties of the meta. It will have a certain amount of flexibility yet still retain its sharp edge. Now the sword is ready for completion.

Step Six: Completion

The sword blade itself is now complete. Now the additional parts will be added such as the pommel the guard and the hilt.

For the past five hundred years the only way to learn the art of swordmaking was to find a skilled blacksmith or swordsmith that was willing to take you on as an apprentice. Because of the specialized skills and tools, and the skill that is required this tradition remains the best way to do it today.

Before you invest lots of time in money in equipment and materials you should find a master that is willing to teach you the basics of the art. You won't have to devote your life to endless hours of hammering against an anvil and with a little perseverance, a little patience and some practice you will be able to make some decent swords that you can be proud of.

How To Build A Tire Swing

Adding a traditional tire Elvis to your home may not only bring back childhood memories, but will allow your children to also create similar memories of fun filled moments playing with friends! A tire swing is fairly easy to assemble and only requires a minimal amount of time and a few basic, easy to acquire supplies.

Instructions

Before you start building a tire swing you will need the following:

Tire
Thick rope
One large tree with a strong, sturdy limb
Power drill
A ladder

Follow these steps:

Step #1.) First just find the right tire that you need! Keep in mind, however, that many of the newer tires have steel belts that can poke through and possible cause injury to a child. Most older tires do not have steel, and are best suited to use for your swing assembly.

Step #2.) Take a moment to clean, wash, and rinse the tire using a hose and soap. This will help prevent the black rubber from marking or damaging your children's clothing or garments. For an ever better clean, you can try taking the tire to an auto wash facility, and use the powerful sprayers for the best results.

Step #3.) Using a power drill, drill three to four small holes in the bottom of the tire to prevent rain, dirt, and other nature elements from collecting in the tire.

Step #4.) Choose the tree (and the tree limb) you will be using to hang the tire from. Make sure that you pick a healthy tree with a sturdy limb to ensure proper safety of the completed swing.

Step #5.) Purchase or find a sturdy, thick rope that will be able to handle a sufficient amount of weight and stress that will occur during the swinging. Be sure to purchase enough rope to extend from the limb to the ground, plus enough extra (about 3-4 feet) to use for knots on both ends. You may also want to consider using two ropes for the swing, which will provide additional safety and will be longer lasting.

Step #6.) Now you can begin to assemble the swing! First, find an old piece of rubber house or thick padding to wedge between the limb and the rope to protect the tree. Than tie one of rope to the tree limb; make sure to double knot this end of the rope. Also, tie a knot directly underneath the limb to keep the rope securely in place during swinging. Than just loop the rope through the top portion of the tire and secure with another knot; a traditional square tie knot is recommended. Than tie a second knot to keep the first securely in place. The easiest way in order to train your ears so that they become accustomed to detecting deep coins is to dig deep. So any time you pick up a signal that is deep and iffy then dig.

In my article, Living in a Control Tower, we started to explore the synchronizing Superman action figure around us.
