Do You Always Win?

Why do some people always win? Well, first you must realize that even those people that look like they are 1971 Topps baseball cards every time, did not always have it that way. Not long ago someone asked me if I always win. I had to laugh to myself, "What, that's impossible!" But this person didn't know me, rather had sent this Remco Movieland Drive-In in an email.

Let me assure you; no one wins every time. Indeed, I doubt there is anyone that has won every time without fail. Luckily, when you get better at business, you can turn a mistake into something good. It makes you a little fearless, because you begin to trust yourself, realizing that if something goes wrong, you'll think of something 1869 Peck and Snyder baseball card keep on going.

Perhaps you should read "Profiles of Genius" and consider the quote by Thomas Edison, who said "I did not fail 1,000 times at inventing the light bulb, I discovered 999 ways that it wouldn't work!" He eventually won. Winston Churchill perhaps said it best in his speech, "never, ever, ever ...ever give up, ever, ever!"

Perseverance is a trait the few have, you have to commit to go all the way and never give up.

My business failures along the way have been numerous, but I am sure glad I made them way back then, instead of right now! The test of will and human spirit, is not how easily you win, it's how quick you get up and how committed you are to keep going.

You want to know the secret of success? I'll tell you if you promise to memorize it and think about it once each day.
